PAG in the News

Liquid Boot

PAG has assisted specialist contractors to provide remediation of pollution damage caused by fuel spills in a building.

This type of contamination causes considerable disruption as the floor slab has to be removed to carry out the remediation treatment. The floor can only be reinstated once pollution levels have been reduced to acceptable levels.

Despite this, residual hydrocarbon vapours will probably remain and a fully sealed gas membrane is installed before the new floor is poured. Particularly in older, stone built, property with uneven foundations, considerable preparation work may be necessary to achieve a surface suitable to accept a self adhesive.

PAGeotechnical recommended a time-saving alternative, ‘Liquid Boot’. This is a spray-applied gas resistant membrane which enables continuity at the floor to wall interface, forming a seal to uneven surfaces. Application is very quick and the membrane cures to touch and foot traffic within minutes.
